Glad to hear you got off fairly easy.
We packed up last night to sleep at a friends house, he's got brick so it's a bit stronger than our wooden house.
We watched the news most of the night and got some high winds and rain, and some very unusual sounds I couldn't really identify.
But today the wind and rain calmed down, so we drove to our house. We had a lot of tiles blow off the roof, plenty of trees down, and we have water leaks in the living room. Lost a couple of books and the couch got wet, nothing major there. Still no power at the house, but we've got power here at my studio, so we'll probably crash here for the night. Hopefully the power grid will be back up soon, because I could really use a nice hot bath.
Glad to hear you got off fairly easy.
Good to hear you weren't hit too hard, Kody. Send me an email about your story, please?

Glad To Hear It Were Only Small Damages![]()
Good to hear Kody.
Over here things are starting to settle down as well. We never lost power but the wind was pretty strong for a while. Also, I talked to Jeffery a little while ago. He and the family are heading to Jackson, MS to ride the rest of it out. He wasn't sure if he had power at his house because the phone lines are down in his neighborhood. Anybody heard from Garra? I know he's from Lafayette also.

I stayed up just about all night sitting it out. Like you, we never lost power. My house came away basically unscathed. Few limbs down thats it. Neighborhood looks good also, one big tree went down, several good sized pine trees split in half, couple of mail boxes down, shingles off one house I saw, shutter blown off, stuff like that, all very minor.
I am curious how the rest of Lafayette has faired. I live in the neighborhood behind DOug Ashey and Dwights off of Johnston street, down maybe a half mile from where Jeff works at. I dont know where you guys are located at in Lafayette, curious how your neighborhoods and sides of town faired though.

I may not know what I mean, but I know what I'm talking about, if ya know what I mean.
I'm actually in Youngsville right out of town and all we got here was wind and rain. I have no trees in my yard (yes!) so no branches or anything in the yard. No flooding out here so we came through OK. Some of the neighbors, however, do have branches, shingle damage, etc. But nothing serious, thank goodness. As far as I know all the stores are still closed. I imagine we won't see anything open up until tomorrow.
