No, the problem is that the DO have legal legs to stand on. On the wrestlecrap message boards, former WWE star Earthquake explains that when you sign with the company you also sign a form stating that your "name" with the company becomes their copyright, which I think he said the performer gets royalties from, regardless of whether or not he or she is still employed with the company. So the WWE has legal ground to stand on with all this, and I can understand how they don't want the talent to use these names in any possible competitor (namely, TNA).
