we were sitting around at the restaurant tonight closing up when we saw something hopping around the lobby.
when we went to see what it was we discovered it was a little green frog. its about 1 inch long. it had climbed up onto the hostess podium.
i think it is a green tree frog.
decided to take it home to show it to my kids tomorrow. we will take it by the petco to see if they can help us figure out what species it is. will probably release it outside the restaurant afterwards.
if this guy had been outside i would have left him there. but since it was inside allready i wanted my kids to see it.

Just past my backyard is a wetlands, so I get frogs in my house all the time.
Today one kept me company while I tried to organize my garage, I couldn't see him, but I heard him.

Saw some of these 1" tree frogs in the Adirondacks. They were really cute.
BTW, I'd avoid Petco. I think some customer's dog (or a resident reptile) would make a snack of it.![]()
well, we decided he needed to be w/his froggy family. so we found out where the frogs had moved to. and we loaded up the family and let him go. my daughter thought he was pretty cool. and she misses him very much. but she is glad he is with his family.
plus the damn thing would have needed WAY too much attention/care. i will make the effort for a dog, cat, horse, bird, or whatever, but not a frog. maybe a frog bred in captivity that knows pellets are food and wont starve to death because it doesnt know it is supposed to eat the little pellet that i put in its water.
