This was the arc I decided to start picking up in tradesI have bad timing, I don't know if I can hold out...
The arc was previously known as being issues 61-65, though that may have changed.

FUCKING FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!
BKV's UXM is my favorite ultimate book right now(Sorry, Bendis, but I miss Gwen.), and this is the one thing I want to see from him. I always hated Millar's characterization of Magneto(Way too Osama Bin Ladin, not enough Malcolm X), and I really want to see what Vaughn can do.
I always thought Malcolm X analogy was way off. X believe in separation of the race. Magneto believes in wiping them out entirely. Osama seems a bit closer to the actual character.Originally Posted by Raydawggie
Classic Magneto never supported genocide. It's antithecal to the character's origin and experience. If you read the classic stories, he believed in violent resistance against humankind and seperation of mutants. It's why he established Genosha as a mutant haven. I didn't like the idea of Magneto targeting civilians indiscriminately, but I also guess Ultimate Magneto isn't a Holocaust survivor(He looks 50 at the most), and as such doesn't have that motivating factor. Ultimate Mangeto is just a straight-up villain, and I always like him more when there's a little doubt in the readers' minds that he just may be right.Originally Posted by Dharma Bum
I agree, the best villians are the ones who you can almost understand why they do the things they do.
