Seeing previews/spoilers for this set makes me want to get back in the game.

Yeah. It looks pretty good, but I'm completely unfamiliar with the format and the cards in the last set. I may have to start taking a look at the sets again.

After placing in the top 8 my 2003 States, I figured I'd done enough to warrant dropping the game to not have it consume my life in college. But now I'm feeling that fucking twinge and am excited about the new block.

Ugh, I hated prereleases. The only one in my state is a giant one in an old school gym with little heating and no air conditioning. Just a bunch of smelly nerds trapped in one place. They were truly terrible.

They've always had some amazing artists... sadly, they FUCKED all of the original artists really badly after 4th edition, which is why I will never buy their product again...

I have to say, the new stuff is nice, but I miss Kaja & Phil Foglio, Richard Kane Ferguson, Ne Ne Thompson, Anson Maddocks, Randy Gallegos (although, he appears to be doing some more art for them) Doug Shuler, Dan Frazier and so many of the other original artists...

Well, accept for Melissa Benson... she was rude.

Now they have Rebecca Guay, Ray Lago and several other "comic" folks working for them.. so that makes me happy... and Ben Templesmith is doing work for Wizards new game, Hecatomb.. which looks pretty damn fun.

Hannibal King is the shit too... got a sketch from him. Foglio and Frazier do do some art for the Vs. Comic based game...
