I just capped this from the stream I was watching last night so crappy quality, but BOOM HEADSHOT.

Yeah I think Okami is getting the next shot at Silva, they've already begun hyping him as the last person to beat Silva.
I've got the fight, the loss was because Silva upkicked him in the head while his knees where down. Silva was on his back, Okami was in full guard. This was in Hawaii in a relatively new MMA organization and I don't think Silva knew all the rules (he was probably assuming Pride rules applied). Okami couldn't continue so Silva was DQ'd. Silva was pissed.
The fight might be more of a gift for Silva to avenge his loss.
My exact thoughts, unless Okami spends some time training at Team Quest like he has done previously, Sonnen could help him tailor his own version of the Silva/Sonnen fight.
GSP and Silva would be a great fight though. They might be the two most well-rounded fighters around

Yea, definitely a let down overall but isn't that how it usually goes? The crappy cards on paper turn out great, and the big ones don't live up to the hype.
-A few years ago Torres would have Leveled Banuelos. Last night it seemed like he was afraid to engage. I don't think he even attempted any takedowns...
-Ellenberger/Rocha fight actually wasn't too bad. Some good transitions at least. These guys will both probably have a good future in the UFC.
-Jones/Bader went like I expected, except that Bader seemed out of the fight after about half-way through round 1. I think he realized he was outmatched by Jones and mentally gave up. Jones is a fucking beast though, and the fight between him and Shogun should be fantastic.
-Griffin/Franklin was definitely not the fireworks I expected it to be. That first round was a snoozer, and the 2nd/3rd were mediocre, but pretty evenly matched. If there's one thing I don't like about Griffin is he's not much of a finisher. He's a really cool guy, but I've never been impressed with his fighting other than his conditioning and ability to take a beating.
-Silva/Belfort lived up to the hype... Sorta. Front Kick KO is pretty damn amazing, and just goes to show you what precision striking can do. Silva is unparalleled in his accuracy and that's why he's one of the best on the planet in MMA. I dunno about you guys, but I want Jones to fight Silva if he takes the belt from Shogun!!!
If anything this UFC made me look MORE forward to the return of FEDOR next weekend, and the first half of the Strikeforce HW Tournament!!!![]()

OG Benboer right here. Circa late '98 bitches! Don't even try and bring that weak ass 21st Century bullshit.
Bah, Silva would level GSP. The only chance George would have would be to grind out a decision with his wrestling.
Now Silva/Jones would be AMAZING. They both have about the same builds, have incredible technique and know how to finish. This is the fight I want to see more than anything right now in the UFC.
