Sadly, I've only seen the pre-fight staredown. If the fight is half as good as the staredown is, it'll rock.

Saw it last night, too. Man I have never seen anybody, much less 2 heavyweights, go at it like that. Takayama's face looked like mush.

Almost didn't recognize Frank Trigg with hair, too.

    yeah. that was hilarious!

as for the frye / takayama fight, it was a freaking war. the spot where they both held each other's heads with one hand and pounded each other in the face with the other...it was insane! those weren't ticky tack shots either. they were swinging for the fence the whole damn fight.
Helio Gracie -> Rickson Gracie -> Pedro Sauer -> Allen Hopkins -> Steve Miller -> Me (blue belt)

Yeah, that part was fucking brutal. Looked like Frye was hitting much more solidly though.

Damn, too close to the next UFC card. Can't afford em both and I really wanna see Penn vs St. Pierre and Franklin vs. Loiseau.

    Re: The OFFICIAL MMA Thread

There's a good interview with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at SHERDOG.

Looks like his next fight is his last on his PRIDE contract... I smell a Liddell rematch in the UFC!!!

They also talk about an eventual Liddell vs. Wandy fight... Man, that would rock.
OG Benboer right here. Circa late '98 bitches! Don't even try and bring that weak ass 21st Century bullshit.

Yeah, both would be great but probably be awhile. Looks like it'll be Babalu getting a rematch and then it seems like they are setting up for either a Tito fight or should Griffin somehow manage a win a teacher vs. student fight.

But, honestly, I'm sort of hoping Babalu wins and makes the rest moot.

    PRIDE Spoilers
    Spoiler:
Roman Zentzov b Pedro Rizzo via quick knockout
Quinton Jackson b Yoon Dong Sik via unanimous decision (an upset in that it went past one round)
Fabricio Werdum b Jon Olav Einemo via unanimous decision
Alistair Overeem b Sergey Kharitonov via first first knockout
Josh Barnett b Kazuhiro Nakamura via first round choke
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira b Kiyoshi Tamura via very fast armbar
Mark Coleman b Mauricio Shogun Rua. Rua's elbow blew out right away and Rua was unable to continue. A huge brawl took place after the match and it'll be very interesting if they air it or not.
Mark Hunt b Yosuke Nishijima via third round knockout
