Who had the dirty job of laying off Mike Rowe?
‘Dirty Jobs’ Comes to an End on Discovery
Actually it looks like Discovery is doing a housecleaning. Last week they also cancelled the decade old American Chopper.
CBS is burning off episodes of Made In Jersey.
Seems this week and next week on Saturday at 8pm they'll air new episodes. I don't know if that is all the episodes that were made before the cancellation order came through or not though.

^^ he still does the voiceover on another Discovery show. . so he's not exactly jobless. . but yeah, those of us who watch the show know they have been "reaching" in terms of Dirty Jobs recently.

A company like Ford though tends to totally revamp their ads every few years though. If I were him I wouldn't exactly see it as a secure (non-dirty) job.
I'm curious if anyone knows Mythbusters ratings. I mean I wouldn't have guessed that Dirty Jobs and American Chopper were in trouble. Chopper, maybe its not surprising people are bored with it, but even still I know it had a lot of long time loyalists.
Okay, I guess there's also Deadliest Catch. I don't really watch it, but I DO imagine it gets kinda samey-samey after a while. Mythbusters though has almost endless variety.
MTV has canceled The Inbetweeners.
CW has canceled Emily Owens, M.D. The show will air the ordered 13 episodes but that's it.
Damnit I liked Emily Owens. I was really expecting not to but watched it cause it debuted the night of the debate just to see and really fell for it. It reminded me a lot of Felicity. Sad. 7 more episodes are all that are left.

CW is in very dire straits right now.
Arrow is their biggest hit in years, and Vampire Diaries is still doing well, but that's about it. Gossip Girl is ending, Supernatural is well past its glory days, 90210 and Hart of Dixie are hanging on by a rail ratings-wise, and Beauty and the Slightly-Scarred Dude will probably be cancelled at the end of the season. God willing.
