I read a lot, goal being 100 books a year minimum. I'm presently reading "Guilty Wives" by James Patterson and David Ellis. I've come to the conclusion that Patterson is essentially renting his name out to his various "co-authors" at this point.

It's not a bad read, but far from great.
My first novel is up Amazon Kindle at http://www.amazon.com/In-My-Brothers...8184334&sr=1-1

    And now in paperback, too!

For comics, I've been working my way through the absolutely gorgeous Creepy Presents Richard Corben volume. It really shows why Corben has the reputation that he has, and his work with color in the '70s, fully restored by Jose Villarrubia with Corben's help, has yet to be rivalled, nearly 40 years after many of these stories were originally published. I think we can safely check off next year's winner for Best Collection--Reprint at next year's Eisners.

I just finished reading Moving Target by Elizabeth Moon, the second book in the Vatta's War series. It's a book about a merchant spaceship captain, Ky Vatta who finds herself having to defend the lives of herself and her crew. There's five books in the series and I'm definitely picking up the other three.

I'm now onto Enemy of God by Bernard Cornwell, the second book in his Warlord Chronicles. It's an account of the life of King Arthur narrated by Derfel Cardan, an orphan Saxon raised by Merlin who now fights for King Arthur against the encroaching Saxons. So far typical Cornwell and I'm really enjoying it.

Sharpe is fantastic, both the books and the TV series. Those books (indeed all of Cornwell's works) never fail to pull me in and get me thoroughly engrossed in the story.

Dresden is amazing, Keith. That's a VERY close second to my favorite series of all time.
