I can see a few Whedon or Battlestar alum being tapped although most are too old.

For some reason Alan Tudyk comes to mind as a likely villain. Maybe Taskmaster. Maybe Patton Oswalt as Paste Pot Pete. I also can't help but enjoy the idea of NPH getting a very brief but memorable turn as someone like Stilt-man. I think you'd want villains who are a bit more down on their luck or desperate (and therefore dangerous) with quick, 30 Rock style cutaways of wackier ones played by big celebs spicing up a serious plot. I'm thinking Nick Brendan or Zachary Levi as a stunt cast Bob, Agent of Hydra who would be played as a pastiche of Whedon as a henchman.

I could maybe see Fillion as Simon Williams and Fran Kranz beefing up just a bit to play a crazy but deadly Marc Spector. Yvonne Strahovski as Silver Sable.

He needs to be in something. His performances on Dollhouse were Academy Award worthy. I don't think I'm overstating that either. It was an average show that gained Whedonesque charm as it sped up, particularly with the November reveal and the last five episodes.

But Enver was out there giving the performance of a lifetime, every episode.

As for the title, I'd call it:

The West Coast Initiative.

Combines Avengers Initiative with West Coast. Like I say, Maria Hill as the bosslady. Title sounds like a Heist movie and I'd imagine it would have a lot of potential to totally or almost totally rotate the cast. I'd probably hinge it on Silver Sable and her crew, who I'd imagine would basically change about as much as the Angel ensemble did. I think the leader needs to be a woman and a woman with sex appeal in a costume or motif that translates to TV.

From there, you have the heist angle and the West Coast angle. Pitched as a super-hero Ocean's Eleven.

Gotta try to get Downey for a sweeps episode, separated from his armor.

Very true, he was the best thing in it. It was nice to see his cameo in Avengers.

He's a little young but I could see him as Simon. He was actually in Avengers as one of the two cops that Captain America gives orders to.

It ends next year. As long as she can manage to shoot the pilot, I could see her being up for this show in Fall 2013, contracts permitting.
