Yeah that pose and the one at the very end infront of the moon.
Or, she knew it was going to end up being the only way the cure she synthesized could still be delivered to the city.
I did love the moment though where the Lizard, instead of doing the tired, old 'villain takes the female character hostage' schtick just freakin' ignored her once he had what he needed. That was awesome and was actually a little character defining moment for the Lizard as well. It said, basically, that he didn't see her as a threat and since she wasn't a threat she was beneath his notice.
The movie had other little touches that I liked as well.
I liked that, in at least one scene you see the Lizard smell by 'tasting' the air -- which is what many species of lizards do.
I liked that in the first scene with Spidey crouching in his 'web' down in the sewer it looked like that famous Todd McFarlane pose. Nice touch.
And I have to say I was surprised that they went with the death of Captain Stacey here in the first movie. I thought for sure they would save that one up until the second film....
And I liked that Gwen GOT IT at the end. Where she KNEW without Peter telling her that her father had made him promise to stay away from her. It was another example of her as an insightful character.

Hate me all you want, 95 % of the time I'm write.
There were three huge shocks for me, one good two bad.
1. The good shock was the acting, the cast knocked it out of the park and most of the dialog was really amazing as well.
2. The bad shock was the missing scenes. I'm not going to say the writing was bad, it was very good but I felt like I was reading an amazing novel with severalpivotallchapterss ripped out of themiddlee and end sections of the book. If this were most movies I would assume they ran out of money couldn't shoot all the scenes in the script and had to do some awkard editing to get a cohesive story and just hope the viewership doesn't ask too many questions about why certain characters and plotlines were dropped rather than resolved or even shown.
3. I don't know if Sony or AMC is to blame but the 3d effects were not there. I think I can pin it on Amc as there was no difference in picture quality when I was wearing my 3d glasses and when I was looking at the screen with my contacts on.
Actually it didn't at least not domesticly. Remember the studio only gets half the gross but this movie is huge worldwide and I have no idea how much of that the studio gets.
One minor gripe. In the next film, let's have police officers shout warnings before they start shooting.
I really liked this movie. I thought it was great, a nice spin on Spider-Man. Gwen was great, and Flash was even given some depth.
Pleasantly surprised indeed.
Although I think Avengers was better.
