One of my favorite Deniro movies isn't even one of his big movies. I thought he was great in Night and the City as a wormy ambulance chaser trying to becoming a boxing promoter (sort of like Rupert Pupkin's less delusional, more stable brother). He's great in it and the movie overall is incredibly watchable.

It's part two in what I was hoping would be a trilogy of movies in which Christian Bale lost a dangerous amount of weight just before having to bulk up for a Batman movie.

But going through my collection I have to say, fuck there's a lot of movies that I own that are really good to the point where I feel bad considering for trade in even though I never watch them. So I thought maybe we could talk about those types of movies that never get talked about as classics but when they get mentioned ever so rarely you say "that's a good fucking movie!"

So, going first I'll go ahead and say: Rescue Dawn, that's a good fucking movie. But I haven't watched it since I bought the damn Blu-Ray and think it's going on the pile. What do you folks got?
If you liked Rescue Dawn, you should check out Little Dieter Needs To Fly. It's Herzog's documentary on the same story where he takes Dieter back into the jungle where he was held prisoner for so long.

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

Haven't seen that in ages but I do remember digging it when I first saw it at, like, 18 when it was on TNT one day.

I just rewatched Glengarry Glen Ross for the first time in five years as well. It's a goddamned shame that pretty much no one ever outside of probably this forum knows that movie exists...
