Monroe's a really fascinating character. Bass and his minions are vile, but Monroe is a lot more complex. He's totally going to wind up playing the Ben Linus role in the show down the line.

Yeah totally, but Diesel engines wouldn't need the spark. There's also a lot of electronics that have a wind up function that might work.
Chances are that most nuke plants would have blown by the time the show is set, what about all that?

That's a good question.
There is probably some kind of system in place to prevent that from happening considering the reveal at the end of the last episode.

I know it's been months since you said that, but after 15 years I'm sure deisel fuel is all gone. Fuel of any sort if probably gone.
