What are you hooking up - consoles, DVD/Blu-Ray players etc?
Aside from console gaming, what are the major genres you use your TV for: sport? Documentaries? Your basic sitcom and drama hour?
How many hours would you be using it ROUGHLY per day?

60 inch on its narrows it down quite considerably. If you can give me a few answers, I can point you in a direction.
It's going to be the living area, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a couple windows (I haven't seen the place, however my cousin has.)
What I'd be hooking up is quite a bit. Consoles ranging from PS3 and 360 to my Sega Genesis. Not all at once of course. No players however.
I'd be using the tv either to play movies, watch Netflix and/or Hulu. Other than that, I'm probably gonna sidestep cable.
I'd probably be using it 5 hours a day.

I'd rather have a smaller tv since I wanna save money. But I wouldn't be adverse to a big tv.

I'd be looking at the new Samsung LEDs - plenty of HDMI inputs, a strip or two of component for your older consoles. Jump on the Samsung website and have a look at the 6 Series', I don't imagine you'd need anything higher than that. Good refresh rates, and if they're using the same panels as the Australian versions (which by the looks of it, they are) then you'll get a good colour mix and some damn fine picture quality. By the looks you've got about 4 or 5 different models in that range. For gaming - minimum 6400, 6500 if you're connecting it up to the internet for Hulu and Netflix via WiFi, 6900 if you want the web browser for some damn reason. Go to a brick-and-mortar store and check out sizing; the 46" seems to be the most popular size I sell for apartments.

Let me know if you got any questions man.

What's your opinon of the LG 3D LCD TVs? We bought one and we love it, especially since regular 3D glasses work great with it.

I'd be quick to recommend it, but I'm not exactly an expert

Based on WhiteRose's recommendation that you look at Samsung, I checked Consumer Reports and this is their best rated 46" TV: Samsung UN46ES6500. It is 3D capable.

<nods> There are a lot of 3D TVs out there, but (to my knowledge) all but the LG require the expensive head sets. LG 3D uses standard plastic theater glasses, which is why we got it (also cause the 3D effects were phenomenal)

Mine is a 42 inch Samsung LCD, a year and a half old. Absolutely love it. Heaps of friends also bought my model in differing sizes. They were that impressed with it, and their TVs are very well priced considering the high quality of the product.

I have a Samsung 42" LCD as well. Mine is around 3 or 4 years old. I love and I feel it looks better than lots of other big screens. One annoying thing was that our group of friends 'had' to watch football at this one friend's house. I never told him I was downgrading my visual experience by going to his place and his inferior 'high def' TV.

I like them, but a few of the boys on my sales team don't. LG are kinda my 'old faithful' brand when people either have big families, but want 3D or something that may not have the picture quality the Samsungs and Sonys do, but have a good solid lifespan and excellent backend support. It's only a pity that they recently knocked their wonderful 3 year warranty down to 1 year, in line with everyone else.

Depends on the TV now. Panasonic are doing passive theater glasses as well as battery-operated lenses differing between models, and so is LG. The good thing about all of the Sony, Samsung and Panasonic 3D models this year is that you can use any of their battery-operated glasses with any of their Active 3D TVs, because they all got together and decided a Bluetooth connection was the best way to sync the glasses to the TVs. Which means that in order to sell battery glasses, they're starting to one-up each other in terms of price. The cheapest (here, anyway) 3D glasses are currently Samsung, at about $25 a pair. They'll just get cheaper as the year goes on, but most manufacturers are including one or two pairs in the box with the TV.
