Why are two people in a row acting like I said they were rules? The topic creator did that, I didn't.

I was simply saying that logically any Pixar specific advice should probably have a section about keeping the emotion at the forefront of the storytelling. A few of the tips border on that, of course, but its where I'd go next if I was that Pixar employee and adding more to the list.

Forget it. I shouldn't have said anything.

The point is that this isn't really "Pixar Specific Advice". It's more "general advice" which the person learned while working at Pixar. It's two different things. In fact, there's really nothing IN her advice which is necessarily specific to Pixar -- it's just good, solid, general writing advice.

My point in passing it along is that I rarely SEE such good, general, bullet pointed, writing advice out there on the net.

And the "Rules" part is in the thread title because that is the article title at i09 where I found said article and I felt that it was appropriate to not change said article title just in case my link gets broken.

The classy finesse in the finished project and how the story and characters stays with you long after viewing is proof enough of why Pixar will be on top of other animation studios for a lonnnng time.
