    Unhappy R.I.P Robert L. Washington III 1964 - 2012

Going to miss this guy, as chatted almost everyday to him on CBR forums. He seemed a very nice guy who would stand up for Milestone even know he had not worked in comics for years.I don't care want the credit box says, he was a co creater of Static

This is a real shame. RLW3 had a rough couple of years, but he had pulled out of it and was at least interacting with his many fans even if he had little desire to work in comics again. I greatly enjoyed conversing with him over at CBR the past few months. RIP, Robert.

I can't believe I was just reading the Hero Initiative book the other day.

    Sorry to hear this.

(although I don't recall ever seeing him when I used to visit CBR forums, I very much enjoyed his writing on both Static, and on Extreme Justice).

I'm sorry, as a semi-regular on CBR, I don't recall ever conversing with him. What was his screen name there?

Oh, that's such a shame. Static remains such a wonderful achievement.

Robert L Washington III. He was a semi-regular over the past few months, talking about Milestone stuff, books he liked, and stuff like that. He actually got into a heated argument over the creation of Static with a douchy regular poster not too long ago, but that's history on another forum so I'll leave it at that.

He always came off as a very thoughtful guy. I liked his comics work, but I really appreciated that he took the time to converse with his fans and critics, giving his side of the story without ever lowering himself to insults even when they were probably called for. He was a class act.
