I like Grant, but I hope they do not go down that road of he and Michelle being an item. Maybe by the end of season 2 perhaps?

As for the episode itself, it was better than the second one, not as good as the first. They really need to focus on the dance studio more. And the whoke car situation was just another way to show her inexperience of "real life", but you would have thought someone (the cop, the tow guy, her mother in law) might have suggested putting the car in neutral. It's a minor "blip" that gave them an opportunity to introduce a new character.

So it continues to be horribly racist, eh?

The thing is they are STILL in the period of episodes which had to be completely, 100% done, and in the vault, when the Rhimes finger-pointing thing occurred. I'm wondering... has Rhimes had the guts to comment on these later episodes as well, hopefully in a more complimentary way? Or has she just stayed away now (because its often easier to point a finger than withdraw one)?

I get that you are making a joke but can you explain the punchline for me.

So I finally got to watch the show, and enjoyed it so much that I ended up watching all three episodes one after the other. The dialogue is witty and the characters are engaging, but honestly, it really is very white.

And yes I know there have been Black characters and Asians in a few scenes, but until one of them gets to say something, or heaven forfend, actual characterisation, the original criticism remains valid.

You know, with all the people comming out of the woodworks pointing at every little person of colour that shows up and wondering when Rhimes is going to appologize...I'm starting to think it's no longer about racial insensitivity, it's about people liking a show, but feeling that they couldn't like it even if it was the slightest bit racist. So they try their darndest to defend it.

I have already pointed out that I have no emotional capital in this, but I am wondering something myself: there has been so much talk about "black females" and "black male" in this thread...how many of them got names? Not trying to prove anything, I'm really just curious.

Tom the carpenter from Gilmore Girls made his first appearance in the latest episode as Bob the carpenter. I hope he sticks around because his continual renovations of various star's hollow buildings was one of my favorite things.

New episode of Bunheads tonight as usual. Looks like some of the focus might be on Ginny tonight if Sasha and Boo don't steal the show like usual.

Really liked the episode. It is true that it is hard to skate the line between rolemoddle and friend. Which os sad cause I want Michelle to bond with the girls but I also want her to bond witb truley.

Ginny's mom was a little out of line though. It isn't right to replace her ex husband with her daughters bf in any way. But Michelle shouldn't have incouraged Ginny to date around.

The doll being ripped in half and sewn back together. There is something there. Miscarige maybe. Child given up for adoption. Something.

This was an excellent episode, with a LOT going on. And I thought miscarriage immediately.

Fanny returns next week, and it looks like trouble for Sasha!
