G. I. Joe Retaliation Moved to 2013 To Add 3D...SERIOUSLY?!

I'd heard they moved it back to March -- which is also not a good sign. September and March-April are generally where studios still put movies that they think are pretty weak -- so it's kind of a bit of a 'no confidence' vote for the movie as well.

I'd throw February and possibly late January in there as well. October through November can also be a thrown out there as well, depending on the type of movie of course, family oriented animated movies, LOTR, Harry Potter, or the Chronicles of Narnia? Good time of the year for those films given the holiday festivities. A romantic comedy or horror flicks? Not so much, though most of those don't cost a whole lot to make, so its not like studios need to get a huge box office turnout anyway.

They're doing reshoots now. Makes me think the studio wasn't entirely happy with the finished product, and they're just using the '3D conversion' as an excuse to go back and fix things.

I hope this means Baroness will be in it.

I think it will be the same basic plot, just with CC's scenes reshot and a new "Duke got better" twist ending.

Actually October is good for horror flicks because you want to catch the Halloween crowd.

As for January and Feburary it used be be the studios didn't really release *anything* in January through Feb. They would save up, shoot their load at the 'Holiday movies' and then coast on those until about March-April when there was that 'dead zone' -- where everyone who was going to see the holiday movies had had their chance to see the holiday movies and yet it was too early to release the summer blockbusters but they needed something new to put in the theatres so they would put out the crap.
