Also, the Olympic interruption probably disrupted a lot of people's schedules and it's hard to get back into regular viewing mode.

Last night's show was a major disappointment. Yes, those were seven pretty great Mia Michaels numbers. But they were written to the strengths of other dancers, not the ones who got them last night. As such, five out of seven were distinctly inferior to the original. Only the last one was better than the original.
Part of it may be that this is far from the best crew they've had. Anybody from the last two years final fours would win this year in a walk. There is no-one I find consistently interesting, and even the judges seem to phoning it in occasionally. If the show doesn't pick up, I'm betting this is the last season.
That would be a damned shame, given how wonderful some of their high points have been.
Since I wasn't here to comment when it happened. I choose to believe that female winner (Eliana) was the only SYTYCD winner of this season. After 9 seasons, they finally crowned someone who I absolutely DID NOT LIKE AT ALL and did not feel was even the 8th most deserving dancer in his group ...
Also, I feel like the show rallied in the last 2/3 episodes and salvaged what was hitherto a lackluster season.
Seriously America ... how could you be so right and so wrong in the same call?
After the Mia Michaels episode, the rest of the season looked like pure genius.
I also think that Cyrus should have won, but I think Nigel hurt him with that comment on performance night. That was kind of uncalled for, in my opinion. Cyrus definitely wasn't great. But he was better at the stuff outside of his element than Chehon was. It took Chehon a while to even warm up to the contemporary stuff, which should have been easy for him.
