From before I was born? Well . . . Bob Wills, Glen Miller, Andres Segovia, Robert Johnson, Hank Williams . . .

This is terrible. 95% of the artists that others have listed here came to prominence after I was born. Shit, I might as well list Bach and Beethoven, Stravinsky and Borodin.

See, that's the thing... At a guess, better than half of my music collection falls into the "pre-me" category. I could (almost) just list the contents of my 'Pod to answer the OP.

I'm the same way, Mike. My favorite music is almost all from at least the 70s and a big chunk of that was before I got more into music and also before I was born. I do like some of today's music but the vast bulk of it is not as appealing to me as older stuff.
