The problem is that Power Rangers has continually maintained an ongoing continuity... kind of similar to comic books in that regard. The only one that we know for certain takes place in a different universe is RPM, which was a post-apocalyptic world and Samurai did a crossover with them where they acknowledged a different universe (though, admittedly, I haven't watched it yet. Saving it for when I get to RPM for History of Power Rangers).
However, I've read that Toei is apparently making their own version of the Great Legend War with Power Rangers-exclusive teams, so it's possible that they'll skip over any Gokaiger footage that doesn't use Power Rangers-related teams. Or they'll do like they did with that one sentai team whose name I forgot. Kakuranger? I don't remember - Make them aliens.
People think I have got the power cause I've got the monkeys. Nope. I've got the power because I'll let the monkeys loose...

Yeah, I know. It's also why a lot of the White Ranger footage has 'Tommy' dancing like a loon, because Kibaranger in Dairanger was actually a nine-year old called Kou. (For those who've never seen Super Sentai, think Justin from Power Rangers Turbo - young kid who grows to adult size when he transforms).
No, they're the original teams. Well, when the Gokaiger transform into them, they're just using their powers but they're all in the same continuity. Gai Ikari, Gokaisilver, is even a massive sentai fanboy who gets a massive nerd-on whenever he meets some of the earlier members. It's a loose continuity but the basis of the entire show is that the Gokaiger team is the latest in a long line of sentai, even if they're reluctant at the start.
Yeah, there have even been a number of Super Sentai crossovers that reach way back into that loose continuity. Pretty good stuff, actually.
