I've got that comic too. Great art from Byrne and Perez and I enjoyed the Project Pegasus story. I also think that was the first time I saw Thundra. Bill Foster's Giant Man was also in this, as was (I think) the Aquarian and Nuklon(? Whatever happened to him?)

Gee, the mainstream comics used to be so much better than they are today.

Aquarians and Nuklon are indeed in this story as well as the others you mentioned. Also in there of note are Quasar in his new role as Security Chief of Pegasus and some super powered female wrestlers.

Why mention the female wrestlers? One's named Screaming Mimi, who later became Songbird. Given Busiek was reading these stories, makes me wonder if this was the budding love he felt for her which led to her eventual evolution?

During this storyline we also had appearances by Deathlok, Klaw, and one half of the father/son team that made up Black Sun. The son goes on to become the Nth Man in this arc.

Also, as to Aquarians, this was the arc that transformed him for Wundaar into the Aquarians.
