    A momentous occasion!

I, yes ME!, ordered and downloaded a Kindle Edition of a book yesterday all on my own!

I know that doesn't sound like a big deal?. . . but believe me, it is.

(I only ordered one book, and it was 99cents. . but hey, it's a start!).

I have done a few David Gerrold novellas on my phone. But I still prefer actual live books.

i'd NEVER do it on a phone..but the Kindle Fire is just about the same size as a paperback book. . . so it's almost the same thing

I will always read a book and never on a computer screen of any kind.

The best thing about the e-readers is that you can download all of the classics for free!

All of those books you said you were going to read someday but you never want to buy them at the book store, one less reason to keep putting it off.

I'm always five years behind everyone else on these things. For example I just now got a cell phone with a keyboard which I use to text and started watching Blurey or however the fuck you spell it.

I have an iPad and I LOVE reading comics on it.

The retina display on the new model is gorgeous. I got mine a few days after the launch and it is pretty awesome.

    Re: A momentous occasion!

I only Walking Dead vol 1 on my Nook and reading it on there was okay - prefer print. But I LOVE my Nook for Entertainment Weekly and prefer reading the magazine digitally over in print.

I prefer buying most books digitally now and reading them that way. Tech manuals or art type stuff is still better in print but plain old books are better in my opinion digitally.

Nice work, bert! It gets easier and it's easier to shop for books on-line because you don't have to drive to a store. I will admit that I do still enjoy going to a brick and mortar bookstore, it's just easier to do stuff on-line and then download immediately.

    I still don't have that.

my phone makes calls (and takes the occasional picture of the inside of my pocket).

    that's it!
