I looked at the link to the Trinity of Sin from the other thread and saw the last pic was of Batman. And in it was the same line that I am now so tired of seeing when Batman is shown amidst superpowered heroes, "But, you're just a man!"
Sigh.... yes, DC, WE GET IT! He does not have super powers! ENOUGH ALREADY!
Hell, even if he doesn't have super powers, calling him "Just a man" is akin to calling Stephen Hawking "sorta smart"!
Batman is not only one of DC's smartest men, but he's the world's best detective, one of the world's most brilliant scientists and inventors, has gadgets for all occasions, and is a master escape artist. He's rich beyond counting and a master strategist.
Were he in our world, Batman would rule the planet.

It IS kind of annoying, now that you mention it. I guess if you got to be unrealistic and give the man more money, experience, fitness, and sex-appeal than is humanly possible, then saying he's "just a man" is kind of stupid.
Especially since Superman is also "just a man" until he starts doing something.
Hell. Captain America is supposedly "just a man" too.

And I know it's meant to show how amazing a truly driven man can be, even amongst super powered heroes.
It's just overdone and tired, IMO. And also not quite accurate.
I wish Batman was just a man again.

Hell, read Batman: RIP or Return of Bruce Wayne. Morrison may have inadvertently invented the "Bat-God," but lately he's been writing it more like, "yeah, he has a lot of plans and is really smart, but sometimes he still only survives by the skin of his ass with the help of his friends and family."
