Thread: "Lost" may return...

    Thumbs down "Lost" may return...

Stupid, greedy idiots (if it does).

Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof has claimed that the show will eventually return in some form.

The Star Trek writer / producer dropped hints about a possible revival at Variety's Entertainment & Technology Summit.

"It's been two years [since the show ended] and we told the story we wanted to tell," Lindelof said.

However, he added: "I do feel like the world has not seen the end of Lost but I'm not going to have any involvement."

Lindelof insisted that he would be happy for a new production team to oversee a Lost continuation.

"It would be hypocritical for me to say I'm going to [reboot] Star Trek but I don't want anyone to touch Lost," he said.

The final episode of Lost aired on ABC in May 2010. Exec producer Lindelof was also the show's chief writer, contributing 45 episodes.

I have my doubts that a return will do well, but if it does, I think that he makes the best case for it here:

"It would be hypocritical for me to say I'm going to [reboot] Star Trek but I don't want anyone to touch Lost," he said.
Funnybook of the Week - I read 'em, I rank 'em. Based on nothing more than my personal enjoyment.

Twitter Feed - Just as inane as a blog, but shorter.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing something that takes place in the Lost universe. Something that might expand on the activities of the Dharma initiative off the island.

I loved LOST and was a little bit bummed when it ended.

As with all these things, it could be good but the idea sounds bad. I mean, did Frasier sound like a good idea after Cheers?

Less rebooting and more booting, please.

I'm waiting for the day when new ideas are formally forbidden by law. I don't think it will be long.

If they do something more with Lost, it had better be titled: "We Were Just Kidding About That Ending."

Of course, for every Frasier there's a dozen Joeys...

I'd like to see one written by the fanatical fans who actually paid attention to and remembered all the plot points instead of just forgetting about or ignoring them because just throwing out questions is easier and more fun than having to answer them. But I'm not bitter.

I agree. There is a lot of un-mined material there. If they could get BKV or Goddard to run it even better.
