This 1989 McEwan's Lager advert is one of the coolest ever. It cost over a million pounds to make waaaay back then which was an absolute fortune for a Scottish advert.

Also, I've never been able to find them online, but there are two commercials for James Patterson books (one is Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, or something, but I don't know the other one) that absolutely crack me up. The first is all about how we should be shocked that James Patterson wrote a non-mystery novel. In the second one, he tells women that they should leave their men if they don't cry when they read the book. They're so stupid/awesome.
