First issue of X-O was okay, but its never good to have a first issue of a comic that doesn't even get to the main premise.
The Valiant books were some of my favorites from the 90s. When Shooter and BWS left, there was a serious shift in tone and I don't think most of the titles were as good afterwords. I think all of the concepts were solid but the execution (except for Shadowman) came off as very lazy and a bit mundane.
The first nine issues of Archer and Armstrong were just about as good as any comic book that can be made.
