I know a lot of people in college who wanted to be actors (I went to an arts school) and you know, most of them are successful.
You probably never heard of any of them, but they are able to support themselves solely through acting. Most of them are through community theaters and off, off broadway.
They make things happen.
ANother good example is Tom Stillwell. he wanted to be a comic book writer and he made it happen.
Just saying, the people who think that being a star is more important than the whole process of being an actor....their problem isn't that they are hoping too much, the problem is that they are being dumbasses.
