Dope episode. The fight scenes are always done very well.

Not done yet but pretty groovy so far. Huge improvement from the past two episodes.

Lost the last 3 minutes of the episodes, but goddamn this was an amazing episode. The bending fights, the Equalists, Wolf-Bats getting their just desserts and the sections with Tenzin were the parts that stuck out the most. Also it's nice to finally see Korra get a fight against the Equalists that isn't cheap as hell. All the other times they fought she either got swarmed or ambushed, so it's nice to finally see some benders kick ass, especially now that we get to see metalbending in an offensive manner.

Nice to see the evolution of those sub-bending techniques as well. I'm interested to see if bloodbending and sandbending have similarly evolved as well.

I'd also like to see if any other sub-techniques have been developed since the time of the first show. Earthbending has sand and metal as its subs, Firebending has lightning, Waterbending has blood, yet we never saw a sub for Air. Did Aang create one? Tenzin, perhaps? Soundbending possibly, using the aircurrents to amplify or alter the soundwaves they carry.

Metal has obviously evolved a great deal since Toph created it. And lightning has evolved to become a use for industrial workers so the way Firebenders learn obviously had to have changed in the last 70 years since lightning requires balance of spirit, right?

I assume that Fire Lord Zuko ushered in a return to teaching firebending from the Sun Warrior tribe lessons.

How so? It evidently enabled the production of energy for the city, that seems like a good thing to me.

Lightning was something only the top benders could do but from the official site it sound like the one hired to make energy have little rewards for it.
