I never used the word suck or in any way disparaged all ages anime or those who watch them. I look at animation the way I look at ice cream or music. Just because my taste is different from yours it doesn't make what I like better or worse or more importantly make me better or worse than you. Would I be getting the same sarcastic remark if I said I didn't like chocolate ice cream compared to vanilla which happened to be your favorite flavor?

I wasn't disparaging your taste, I was saying that you have pre-disliked Avatar by deciding that it fits into a category of things you don't like, without any actual information about whether you'd like it or not. Sometimes you need to look beyond labels, because the best stuff transcends whatever category it might officially fit.
