I saw "Cabin in the Woods." (spoilers)

I can sum it up nearly spoiler free as thus:

'Sup, Dogg? I heard you liked seeing people get punished. So I put a horror movie in your horror movie so you can get punished for wanting to see people get punished.

    Yeah. I loved it.

    LOVED it.

oh, it definitely has some problems, and one or two plot issues that bugged the shit out of me.

    such as:

    Spoilers
    1) what the hell kind of "Purge" releases the cells?. . . Purge would destroy what's in the cells. . not release them.

    and

    2) how the hell did they get the technology to create these kinds of creatures (when obviously, this is set in current times).

but despite these two gigantic issues that bugged me, I loved this.

    3 1/2 - 4 stars EASY.

    great film.

I can live with those issues. My thought was if they really wanted this film to work as well as it could they should have not let on at all that this was anything more than your typical horror movie. Walking in blind to this movie would have been great.

    Spoilers
2 was explainned by saying that they got help from bellow. And they do have a force field.
The purge was a little weird but not as weird as having the elevator drop them inside.IMO
I just loved the big fight.even if I had a hard time following a dozen things at once.I'm not a fan of horror but I love monsters.

I just got back from it.I loved it!

    My dream ending was that
    Spoilers:
That Dana would shoot The Director, revealing that she was the REAL fool or that the "Old Gods" would be revealed as movie theater audiences.

However, they were revealed as audiences, metaphorically.

Basically, if you're not satisfied with the ending where the Fool lives, you rage and destroy the world of the movie. In that sense, the real monster IS the audience.
