The Voice (Season 2) Live Rounds have begun!

Some great performances tonight except from Jamar (?)... the guy who sung the Journey song, and the Mousekeeter guy.

My wife and I noticed two things tonight about Christina:

1- Any chance she can take to have some kind of attention on herself- she'll take it. Examples from tonight were when she went to hug her the members of her team wearing the little fishnet leotard which gave anyone who cared a good shot of her ass

2- Whenever she's asked to say something about one of the other performers not on her team- nine times out of ten, she'll end up giving some kind of dick-ish comment about them or she'll have her praise for them somehow relate to her in some f**ked up way.

As an aside, I'm not a country fan but I kinda dug Blake's song.

Juliet is definitely the one to beat right now, followed closed by Tony. Depending on the songs next week, it's hers to lose.

I disagree. Juliet is still more screechy and awful than not (though she did do some actual singing tonight).

Jamar was impressive. Didn't even like the song.

Katrina, after a high last week, was painfully and almost laughably bad tonight.

Lindsey once again made art out of a crap song, she's never sounded better. Downloaded.

Jermaine strained.

Chris needs to ditch opera STAT -- he was brilliant, but so what? This isn't Opera Idol.

Half of Erin's performance was excellent, half was loud and pitchy. She's a wreck after her dad's death, but has a better voice than most.

Tony was on fire. Again. Downloaded.

so i'm wondering if Adam (or any other judges) will do a ridiculous split like he did for Javier last year so that the audience has no control over who wins. I have a feeling he'll go something like 70-30 in Tony's favor, Ceelo will go 50-50 and let the audience decide his, Blake will go 55-45 for Jermaine and i have no idea what christina will do.

I didn't watch the last few weeks of last season. Did they show the results of what each person did, or did it remain secret?

results were shown. CeeLo gave Nakia the edge 51-49 over Vicci (but the audience gave her the win 75%-25%). Blake and Christina both went with a 50/50 split and just let the audience decide. and then Adam went 65-35 in favor of Javier just in case he lost the popular vote (so i will guess he will do that exact same split this year). We will find out right at the beginning of the competition what they did, i think.

Huh, cool.

I think Cee Lo and Blake will probably do the even split - Ceelo to let the audience pick, and Blake to let Jermaine win without actually having to send Erin home. I think Christina and Adam will do big splits in favor of Lindsay and Tony.

How in the hell do you remember that? I'm not saying that to be snarky or anything but I have trouble remembering stuff I did last week let alone results from a show from a year ago. Call me impressed.

i just wiki'd it :P (that said, i did remember that only adam gave a distinct advantage to his favorite while the others let the audience decide)

This is how I rated the performances last night...

1- Tied between Jamar and Juliet (one of these will win or should win the competition)

2- Chris Mann (not the best rendition I've ever heard of the song but he can clearly sing)

3- Katrina (expected more considering the song but it was still good)

4- Lindsey

5- Erin (like Katrina's performance, I expected more)

6- Tony (nothing special)

7- Jermaine (sorry but his performance got off to a bad start by missing his cue to start and just got worse from there)

8- Christina's cleavage
