Cheapest tickets for the Cleveland show are just $20. For that, I would suffer through Motley Crue to see KISS again. But the show's an hour away on a Wednesday night. I can't do that, then get up at 5:30 the next day for work.

also offering 4 pack lawn seats for $108 (so $27 each).

    VERY reasonable.
That would be great, except I'm in MA not MO...

    Wink It is to LOL

Because when you when to make a point about how much better a real singer sounds live, you go with... Vince Neil.

    that wasn't his point.

has nothing to do with a singer sounding "better"

and everything to do with "if you're paying for a live performance, you should GET a live performance"

and I'm sorry, but he has a point.

I'm still pissed about seeing Revolting Cocks back in the 80's and they just came out and pretended to play along with their live album for the whole set. Yeah, Al, Luc, Ogre, Chris, and Paul were drunk/drugged out of their minds. . but I could have just stayed home and listed to the CD.

as messy as it would have been, they should have played live.

    THAT'S Gene's point.

Smile KISS & Motley Crüe: Harmonious

Then he should tour with Joan Jett, Pat Benatar and Heart.

Vince Neil sucks. I've seen Motley Crüe several times. I can assure that this is a fact.

KISS is wonderful for bubblegum pop meets shock rock, and Gene's schtick is quaint.

But Vince Neil is just horrible. Tommy Lee is a great drummer. Mick Mars is a great guitarist. Nikki Sixx is a fun lyricist. The strippers are top notch. The stage show is brilliant. Vince. Neil. Sucks.

SatD and the first record are old faves of mine.

Gene dishes it out. He swims in controversy. You don't have to defend him, bro.

In other news, Mick and Keith are still feuding...

not defending him -- he was trying to stir up shit to get attention for the tour.

and I still get the impression you miss his point anyways

(besides, WHY would KISS want to tour with Benatar, Heart, or Joan Jett? Likely all 3 would make KISS suffer in comparison, and KISS would NEVER get on stage with someone who is better performers live than they are). Just a fact.

and if you read my original post, I commented on Vince right off the bat.

Wait, wait, wait. People are arguing about Motley Crue?

Everyone is aware that this year starts with a number 2, right?

Frankly, I preferred John Corabi's vocals on the one CD he did with Motley Crue.

Just realized I've seen both Gene and Vince's sex tapes. Not sure what that says about me as a person.

For the record, they didn't do anything for me. When it comes to cheesy rock stars, I'm all about Fred Durst.
