No actual problems at my end yet but I wouldn't expect using it for a few hours would be a huge problem.

A Dutch site (English report here) reported a 5º C (9º F) difference between old and new iPads (tested by thermal imager) when running GLBenchmark to thrash the CPU and battery. Consumer Reports did the same by playing Infinity Blade II for 45 minutes. Their thermal imager showed a difference of 12º F (6.6º C).

As near as I can tell, your definition of "Damage control mode" is saying "It's not supposed to get that hot. If it does, it's *SUPPOSED* to shut down. Call customer service or bring it back to the store."it was a big enough story that apple went into Damage control mode
Look it up.
Yup, boy, that's real "pull-the-wagons-into-a-circle" coverup material, there! The CIA's got nothin' on them!![]()
A quick question. The latest version of the Ipad is comprable if not price to a high end labtop so why do MILLIONS of consumers choose the Ipad over a laptop that can do everything better than an Ipad as well as play games, dvds etc.
They are cheaper than Apple laptops.Originally Posted by Lester C.
