But I like how the Joker is still running around at the end of the movie.
The non-killing superhero seems to be a thing of the past. Yes, you'll always have holdouts like Spider-Man and Batman, but I think it's interesting that a lot of heroes are moving away from that as, let's face it, it doesn't make a ton of sense. I prefer to see my heroes not killing, but sometimes it just makes more sense, especially if it's in a justified sense. I think it made more sense for Batman to leave Ra's to his fate. There is no explicit killing, there. Batman wouldn't go out of his way to kill, though.

You look at the Avengers movie, right? Every character on that team kills. Cap guns down a guy, and throws one off the carrier. Tony kills a lot. Black Widow and Hawkeye are assassins. That leaves Thor and Hulk.

Nope. Thor has no problems with killing people, especially if they're Frost Giants. Hulk also kills the Abomination at the end of his movie IIRC.

Well, I'd say Frost Giants are a gray area. It's kiley Thor would kill if he had to, though.

Pretty sure Abomination wasn't killed at the end of TIH, though.

So Frost Giants aren't people? Interesting notion.

Yeah, Abomination was very much alive at the end of TIH. It's confirmed in one of the Agent Coulson Marvel Oneshot shorts, The Consultant. The one on the Thor DVD I believe.

So, my boss bought me a Batman t-shirt. Really randomly. He knows I'm a geek, but this is incredibly unusual. I'll be spending the rest of the day dissecting what it could possibly mean.

Please, Cap was a soldier in the biggest war in history. He killed people. Everyone needs to accept that and get over it.
