    I think anachronistic pop culture is fine - like Joust. You just don't want to reference a fad that is popular and will fade. And with webcomics I think it's different than say writing a graphic novel.

    Decided to give the USM cartoon a shot. I have to say, it was so nice to have Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes season 2 start the same day. That's such a good show.

    Which is exactly what Bendis recommends. You're okay with stuff like Ghostbusters and The Godfather, but a Napoleon Dynamite reference isn't going to go over well in 10 years.

    Draw the individual panels on the sides of the pogs, and then put it in one of those plastic tubes for them with a cover image wrapped around.
