Hmm, just thought of something, why is the Phoenix Force supposedly heading to earth for Hope? I mean, there's a freaking former host of it standing just, what, 3000 miles east of her? If it had such a hard-on for Jean Grey, why wouldn't it just take her "daughter" and not her ... whatever the hell Hope is to her ...

Bendis says fans who have been following Ultimate comics religiously will enjoy the Mysterio reveal. The villain has been making trouble in that universe for a while, traveling incognito to and from the regular universe.

“Mysterio is up there with the most dangerous criminals that Spider-Man has come up against,” Bendis says. “When I was a kid, I found some of his stories to be terrifying. It just got so personal. It seems like they've retconned out anything involving Jean after her "original death". I mean they even flat out ignored the Phoenix posing as her, the fact that she died during Planet X, or her brief return in Endsong. I mean, they do give Rachel some lip service over the fact she hosted the Phoenix for a long period of time, but Quentin gets no mention other than getting knocked when he and Rachel sense the Phoenix's return.
