Depending on whose numbers you use, anywhere from 15 to 30 million people listen to his show on a daily basis interpreting his words as gospel to be immediately incorporate as doctrine in the belief system that governs their lives. As a human being I find it appalling to admit the Rush is one of the most profoundly influential person in America and has been for well over two decades. It would be a terrible mistake on all of our parts to trivialize the man when he has so many followers willing and able to act on his words.
