Multi-million dollar marketing campaign + Clear Channel approval and constant airplay = today's Pop sensation. Everything else is just cosmetic, including actual talent in many cases.
I like her songs in that they are good work out songs and I kinda shake my booty to them. They aren't wholesome or meaningful or poetry by anymeans but I like them.
