They apparently finished filing Season 3 before the Oscars, having worked non-stop since the hiatus.
They should definitely do something where, say, Dean Pelton has won the "community college commercial equivalent" of an Oscar for the commercial Abed edited this season and have it be some kind of cracked version of the Oscar statue. Or have the Dean host a filmmaking competition that Abed participates in with an Oscar statue painted up like the Greendale Human Being.
