Yeah, I didn't really like PAD's reaction and found it to be pretty whack. It's like, no one should ever have the upper hand over the Hulk in a comic? That would be pretty boring, and to go around and try to make another creator look bad just because he had the audacity to have the character whose book he writes be temporarily defeated in another comic? I thought the Adamantium octopus arms catching the Hulk unawares and beating on him was a great element of the story, and really set the danger stakes high for Spider-man. Seems petty of David to use an issue of Hulk not to tell a story about the Hulk, but as the means to put down another story. I mean, the Hulk being defeated in a fight should not be something a grown man takes personally.

That Stormwatch cover is definitely burned into my mind from back then, one of my first comics.
