The devs have confirmed that the demo will not carry over to the full game.
So with carrying stuff forward from earlier games, how essential is that if you've never played before but might want to play this?

aaaaaaaaaaaand both my 1-2 play-through save games are ready for 3
Did they say how transferring a character is going to work level wise? My femship has finished the game, and I think all of the side quests, but is still a level 29. The DLC Arrival would probably get her to lvl 30 but I'm not sure.
The new level cap is 60 and imported characters retain their level and powers. I can't find anything regarding new characters.
Does the difficulty adjust according to level?Originally Posted by Matt_Y

Oh god, I just typed the words "Slewo's right."
ME2 to ME3 is very different then ME1 to ME2.
Because ME3 picks up like a day after the last ME2 DLC you actually start ME3 with the level you ended ME2 on.
So a ME2 Level 29 starts at Level 29 in ME3, There is a new Level cap at 60 for ME3
you get to keep all your abilities aswell. But credits and resources are reset (as expected with being in jail)
Model ships and pet fish the player bought in Mass Effect 2 will not be transferred to Mass Effect 3, but you can rebuy them.
Only the Normandy upgrades will be carried over none of the regular upgrades (So if you didn't get a fully upgraded Normandy in ME2, you wont get a fully upgraded Normandy in ME3)
