Yeah, I hate it when the fiction I'm watching is false!

So how does it work exactly?

If he it's February 1st in World A, then next time he goes to sleep and wakes up it's still February 1st but in World B? Or would it be February 2nd? (So he loses a day in each world)
Cuz if he gets to live every day in each world, and they are sufficiently similar (which seems that way), then he could take some advantage of the situation (of course, he could be taking advantage of a "fake world").

It's gonna be revealed in the series finale that both worlds are fake, and he is just in a comma the entire time...

Not exactly what I meant- I was referring more to the point that in the basic premise of the show he's caught between two worlds and we don't know which is the real one. Obviously I have no idea what the writers intend (there may be some clever cheat) but if I'm going to invest my time in a show I don't want half of it to just be a dream. Or, a good comparison might be when Marvel was going to replace Peter Parker with Ben Reilly. Fan reaction was mixed, but I seem to recall a vocal segment upset that the Spider-Man they followed for many years "didn't count because he was really a clone." My point is simply I like my (fictional) stories to have real world stakes- and if half of the world in "Awake" doesn't count, then the stakes are false.

    Make sense?

I don't think that argument makes sense in this case. Maybe one of the realities is just a dream or whatever, but the main character doesn't know that. This puts the viewer in his position, so the fear that one of the realities may be fake is the same fear felt by him. This benefit completely outweighs any issue with getting emotionally invested in a plotline that "didn't really happen."

Maybe they're both false and he's in a coma....

    Re: Awake on NBC

This is by far the best pilot I've seen in years. It's like four shows in one, and they're all incredibly good (except for the well-done but routine police procedural). I worry about the long-term prospects, but I'll enjoy the hell out of it while it lasts.

Yeah. This isn't a procedural. It kinda can't be.
