Cena winning last night was like what would have happened if Rocky beat Clubber Lang the first time they fought in Rocky 3.

Cena should have got the shit kicked out of him, but never quit, instead, he should have passed out and have the victor rewarded to Brock. Cena could save face by refusing to quit, and you could give him time to rest his "injuries" before seeking revenge.

But that is why last night was different. Brock was killing Cena hitting him, elbowing, and toying with him. At least three times Brock picked up the chain and thought about hitting Cena with it. That was a big part of the story. Cena HAD to use the chain to steal a win but he was the one who took the worst of it.

brock used the stairs. it was a no holds barred match. people won't remember that cena used a chain. they'll remember that brock lost, which significantly reduces the appeal of seeing brock, the formerly scary mma fighter and guy who lost to that "phony who couldn't hold my jockstrap" cena, wrestle punk or 'taker or hunter or whoever in the ensuing months. it also greatly diminishes the appeal of a rematch.

The point of Cena overcoming Lesnar was to show Cena ISN'T a phony. Again, the whole point of this was to raise Cena's clout. Not to raise the status of a guy who will probably be gone in a couple of months.
