When the Washington Post OPED page has a problem with the GOP, you know things is bad.

Let’s just say it: The Republicans are the problem.

Here's their problem. The Republicans have set themselves up as the total and absolute polar opposites of Obama and the Democrats. Whatever the Obama and his party says or does is wrong. It doesn't matter if they say something that's logical or makes sense, if it came out of Obama's mouth, it's automatically wrong.

A recent book by Robert Draper illustrates that this was going to be the Republican stance the night of Obama's inauguration. "Obama is ALWAYS wrong".

And that's the corner they've painted themselves in. Even the Republicans who believe in science and technology, or plain common sense have to tow the party line or risk being slammed. (I.E. Jon Huntsman)

I am well aware that it is currently illegal. Hence why I wrote "There are arguments for allowing it." I acknowledged that it is currently not allowed.

Although I am conflicted about whether the advantages of giving people the freedom to be disgusting racists is worth the predictably disgusting results.
