Is the condition of the box really a factor?

As long as the statue is in perfect condition?

    I'm my own worst enemy.

If the box is dinged and the statue isn't...IT DID ITS JOB!

Look on the bright side - when the end of the world comes, a dinged box is the least of your worries.

I agree with Denny about the purpose of the box.

I wonder why some people want the box to be perfect. Do they display the box as well?

BTW, I just heard the world is not going to end this year, because Marty McFly went to 2015.

    That's all that really matters.

I just store the boxes away.

I think the idea is for resale value - having a mint figure in a mint box. Thing is, most owners of such will never part with their mint figure in a mint box, so when they die and their crap is cleaned out, the box ends up in the trash and the figure is handed off to a five-year old cousin who pretty much destroys it in 10 minutes.

If only the Mayans had a flux capacitor...and a DeLorean.
