If they're bringing in stuff like time travel, that's totally 'Extended Universe' junk. Lucas wouldn't use that trope. It's too Star Trek.

Yeah but even all the EU stuff needs to be approved by him. He's more involved than just stamping his name to stuff. That said, yeah this rumor doesn't sound too plausable

However, I appreciate DC’s reasons for this initiative and the wish of the artists and writers involved to pay tribute to our work. “Comic books are perhaps the largest and longest running form of collaborative fiction,” said DiDio and Lee. “Collaborative storytelling is what keeps these fictional universes current and relevant.”

I really enjoy certain elements of the Star Wars EU.

I'm not sold on the ideas presented for the tv show, but it's all going to be in the execution.

This might bring in some new or returning readers. Those readers might stick around. Maybe 5-6 years from now, those readers will be picking up a book with your name on it as writer. It's not always about cool.
