I liked the first two issues, but then it became quite forgettable. Still loved the art.Originally Posted by Howlett

I was thinking about Andrew's argument that the Oscars should nominate more successful movies, things that the public embraced. While I definitely don't want to see things like "Fast Five" nominated, I think you can make a case that there were several very successful movies this year that could have gotten the nod, especially over something like Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
Contagion
Super 8
Bridesmaids
Captain America: The First Avenger
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
These are all movies that far exceeded expectations, did well at the box office, and got across-the-board positive reviews. I think the merits are there to say they should have been considered. Especially Super 8, which had a lot of interesting similarities to both Hugo and The Descendants, had some brilliant acting, and a very touching script that was incredibly atypical for a summer movie.

So, the board's own Afroloq interviewed me for The Last Issue podcast (which can be heard here) where I talk about what's coming up for Shadowline, what I think about digital comics and a few minutes gushing about a small indie-press company named GrayHaven comics. Please, if you listen to it, let me know what you think.
