Yup. Instead of coming up with new ideas, which they can, they go for something 25 years old instead of developing something daring and brilliant like Watchmen but not Watchmen. And there is no point to it. Everything that matters in that book is in that book. It is a novel. Like Moby Dick. Like Gatsby. It does not need further prequels to explain itself. And it won't be a Rosencrantz and Guildestern are dead, but tiny stories just there to sell where the Comedian kills a guy and Silk Spectre kicks someone.
