Nothing comes close to Infinite Crisis though. That was one of the most horrendously laid out pieces of crap ever produced. When you can't read the main mini without stopping every second page to track down a tie-in to explain what the fuck is happening then you're doing something seriously fucking wrong. Not to mention all the last minute additions to the event that kept popping up. I remember months after titles were solicited they were suddenly getting slapped with an Infinite Crisis tie-in banner, and it could be that one fucking speech bubble had the words "infinite" and "crisis" in it. Not even as part of the same sentence. That shit was ridiculous.

Civil War at least could be read on it's own without too much hassle. Infinite Crisis caused me to drop a universe worth of titles for years because it pissed me off so much.

And that's not even taking into account the shit Johnny already mentioned with the lead in mini's...

It does seem like one of those really odd events in many cases
